Clenbuterol: Good or bad form humans

Clenbuterol, also called “clen,” is considered a performance-enhancing drug. It’s banned from most athletic competitions. Both the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Olympic Committee include clenbuterol on their lists of prohibited drugs. Even so, athletes continue using clenbuterol for its amazing ability to help burn fat, build muscle, and improve performance. This is unfortunate because clenbuterol has been linked to a number of serious side effects.

Clenbuterol used for different purpose:

Clenbuterol is a type of medication that’s a selective beta-2 agonist/antagonist and bronchodilator, which means it relaxes the smooth muscle tissue that makes up the airways to allow for freer breathing. The United States Food and Drug Administration has approved clenbuterol only for use by veterinarians, who may prescribe it to treat horses with obstructive pulmonary disease or other lung conditions. The trade name for clenbuterol used for horses is Ventipulmin. It is used for two purposes;

Clenbuterol to build muscles:

Clenbuterol isn’t a steroid, but it has some properties similar to those of anabolic steroids, such as promoting an increase in muscle mass. Athletes who use clenbuterol do it to build muscle, and improve sports performance. Many of the Hollywood heroes and heroines use it to get a perfect body. The drug is believed to increase the development of skeletal muscle by enhancing muscle protein synthesis.

Weight loss and performance enhancement:

Clenbuterol has been observed to both increase muscle mass and.  At the same time, it aids in fat loss by increasing metabolism. Additionally, it remains in the body with an active effect for up to about six days after consumption (detectable traces can remain longer). Because of these properties, it’s often used as a weight loss supplement or to enhance athletic performance.

People taking clenbuterol for weight loss or performance enhancement often use anabolic steroids or growth hormones as well.

Side effect of using Clenbuterol:

Where Clenbuterol has a lot of benefits there are some side effects of using it. First of all, it affecting the muscles of the airways.  clenbuterol is taken up by other tissues in the body. Animal studies have shown that clenbuterol use may lead to apoptosis—the death of normal cells—in the muscles, including the heart muscles that cause the heart attack or sudden death. It increases the size of any part of skeleton. For these reasons, it is dangerous to use clenbuterol on both humans as well as animals.
